Milwaukee Nonprofit Youth Serving Collaboration Day at Camp Whitcomb/Mason

In the spirit of our strategic plan and collaboration, yesterday we convened our first-ever “MKE Youth-Serving Nonprofit Collaboration Day” at Camp Whitcomb/Mason. This convening was made possible through the generosity of Mary Ellen Stanek and Baird Foundation, as well as the advocacy of Joel Brennan at the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Frank Cumberbatch at Bader Philanthropies. Leadership from 34 organizations participated in this collaboration “launch.” The focus was to define desired outcomes, shared values, and additional future invitees, amongst other topics. Taking a page right out of the draft strategic plan, we view this as the starting point for a strong emphasis on creating a more efficient and effective youth development landscape in Greater Milwaukee’s nonprofit sector.

To that end, we were fortunate to have this special welcome https://youtu.be/rmCrxDxvedE from Mayor Cavalier Johnson to kick off the day.
