About BGCGM
Since its founding in 1887 by Annabell Cook Whitcomb, who transformed two basement rooms at Plymouth Church into a haven for local boys, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee has grown into the city’s largest youth-serving agency and the largest Boys & Girls Clubs in the nation.
Today, thousands of Milwaukee’s youth find safety, support, and inspiration daily through the Clubs’ diverse programs, which include academic support, recreational activities, meals, mentorship, athletics, and arts access. With a dedicated team of nearly 500 full- and part-time employees, the organization remains committed to empowering every child who walks through its doors, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to succeed academically, build character, and lead healthy lives.
