Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

About the High Adventure Challenge Course

Step into a challenge that brings people closer, pushes limits, and leaves lasting memories. In a safe, supportive environment, your group will climb, balance, and solve problems together—strengthening trust, building confidence, and sharing moments they won’t forget.

With two levels and more than 20 unique elements, participants can take on the course at their own pace—pushing limits, overcoming fears, and celebrating each success together. Climb the wall, conquer obstacles, and choose your big finish: zip through the trees, descend the spiral stairs, or be slowly lowered to the ground with the Dyno jump. However you finish, you’ll leave with confidence, courage, and some great stories.

Climb the Wall

Challenge your strength, strategy, and determination as you scale our vertical climbing wall, conquering new heights one grip at a time.

Conquer Obstacles

Test your balance, agility, and teamwork as you navigate a series of dynamic elements designed to push your limits and build confidence.

Zip Through the Trees

Soar above the forest floor on our thrilling zip line, experiencing the rush of adventure and breathtaking views from a whole new perspective.

Descend Spiral Stairs

Wind your way down our towering spiral staircase, taking in the forest canopy as you transition from high adventure to solid ground.

Dyno Jump

Experience an unforgettable descent as you step off the platform and feel the controlled rush of a free fall before safely landing on the ground below.

What to Know Before You Climb

Before you take that first exhilarating step onto the course, here’s what to expect to ensure your experience is safe, smooth, and unforgettable:

  • Safety first. Everyone will need to sign a waiver—just a small step before the big adventure.
  • Quick orientation. A brief training will show you how to use our smart safety system so you feel confident from the moment you’re clipped in.
  • You’re in control. Once you’re up on the course, you decide how far you go and how long you stay—every challenge is your choice.
  • Dress the part. Closed-toe athletic shoes are a must so you can move safely and comfortably.
  • We’ve got you covered: Camp provides helmets, harnesses, and expert guidance so you can focus on the fun, not the gear.

Thank You to Our Sponsor

The High Adventure Challenge Course at Camp Whitcomb/Mason stands stronger than ever—thanks to the generosity of the Lange family. Rebuilt through a gift from the children of Anthony and Charlotte Lange, made possible by the Charlotte H. Lange Charitable Remainder Trust, the course now continues to challenge and inspire campers for decades to come.

Anthony Lange, a dedicated member of the BGCGM Board of Trustees from 1930 to 1940, believed deeply in the power of the Clubs. In honoring their parents, the Lange family chose to invest in Camp—a place where young people grow through adventure, friendship, and discovery. Because of their heartfelt gift, the ropes course lives on as a powerful reminder of the lasting impact one family can make.
