This program sparks curiosity and gives Club members the chance to see the science behind the world they live in—then bring it to life with their own hands. Through fun, hands-on experiments and real-world challenges, youth explore the “why” behind everyday things while building confidence as creators, problem-solvers, and innovators. Every lesson connects science to their lives in exciting, meaningful ways—empowering them to ask bold questions, test big ideas, and imagine what’s possible.

Every program is thoughtfully designed to meet kids and teens where they are—building confidence, curiosity, and skills that grow with them. Whether they’re exploring leadership, boosting academic success, learning life skills, or preparing for their future, each experience connects to one of our five core areas of growth. Some programs require sign-up, and many are created or guided by Team MarVan to ensure high-quality, meaningful experiences that make a lasting impact.

DIY STEM gives Club members the tools to think like scientists and create like innovators. As they explore each hands-on activity, youth learn to ask questions, form hypotheses, test their ideas, and share what they’ve discovered. More than just experiments, these moments build real skills—such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity—that they’ll carry with them into any STEM classroom, career path, or creative challenge they undertake next.
